Introducing our 2026/27 Coaching Team

We’re delighted to unveil the coaching team leading BPFC into the new season.

Martin O’Keefe continues as Head Coach after stepping in midway through last season to steady the ship. As our Club Chairman, Martin’s leadership, commitment, and passion for BPFC have been instrumental both on and off the field.

Joining him in a formal coaching role is Dave Hall. A true BPFC great, Dave made over 400 First XV appearances and scored more than 3,000 points for the club. His rugby knowledge and experience will be invaluable to the squad.

Completing the coaching team are Matt and Dave Ibbotson, who have answered the call to help drive the club forward. Bringing a wealth of playing experience, a strong understanding of the game, and an unwavering commitment to BPFC, they will play a key role in developing the squad throughout the season.

Between the four coaches, they have accumulated over 1,000 First XV appearances for Birkenhead Park, bringing an incredible level of experience, leadership, and club knowledge to the coaching setup.

We’re excited to see what this team can achieve as we build towards the new season.
