The Lions are coming to Park – Bottomless Brunch

The clock is ticking towards the Lions tour of Australia and what better place to watch the game outside Oz than our club? Details below.

As most of us know, Birkenhead Park has supplied players for all four home nations as well as the British and Irish Lions and has the distinction of being a Lions Origin Club. In all, 14 Park players have played for the Lions the most recent being former BPFC Colt, Austin Healey.

Thanks to Phil Tarleton and the good offices of Meade King Robinson, visitors to the club house can now see for themselves the caps, photos and related ephemera in the specially refurbished lounge.

Howden is the official jersey sponsor for the 2025 Qatar Airways Lions Men's Tour to Australia later this month. As a Principal Partner, Howden Insurance is deeply involved with the British & Irish Lions, both financially and through various initiatives.

To this end, Howdens also recognises the role played by origin clubs nurturing new talent and the shield will take pride of place at the clubhouse.
