Welcome to the 2022/2023 season.

 

Thank you to those who could attend the AGM yesterday evening.

 

I would like to share some pertinent information for the upcoming 2022/2023 season:

 

Barry Fitzgerald after 18 years of service to the club (8 as Chairman) decided to step down this season and Martin O'Keefe has been voted in as our new Club Chairman - Thank you to Barry for all the years service, and welcome Martin to the new role .

 

We welcome Neil Shaw to the role of DOR, and also to the committee.

 

The following members were recognised for their service to the club and have been nominated and accepted as VPs. Congratulation's to:

- Barry Fitzgerald

- Neil Kitchen

- Eric Thomas

 

Fees are now due and the options and costs are as follows:

- LIFE MEMBER £900

- SENIOR CITIZENS £60 (£50 if paid before 1st Oct 2022)

- NON PLAYING SOCIAL £60 (£50 if paid before 1st Oct 2022) (no voting rights)

- FAMILY MEMBERSHIP £110 (no voting rights)

- STUDENT (18+ in full time education on production of an SU card) £0 (no voting rights)

 

Memberships can be paid as before in Cash or Card at the clubhouse and the cut off date for early discount will be strictly adhered too.

NEW for this season, Full, Senior & Social members from the 2021/2022 season can also pay via the Website if they cannot make the club or just prefer ease of access (link - https://birkenheadparkrfc.rfu.club/products) . Pls note it takes a few more days for "check and approval" than immediate payment at the club. 

The payment mechanism is through GMS (Game Management System). As existing members you all have accounts and User Ids (default is your email). If you have forgotten your password then just follow the "forgotten" password link, You can also update your details in GMS as needed (this will help with communication). If you don't know your User ID or Email used in the system then please reach out to me and I can help to provide.

 

Also a NEW option for 2021/2022 members, is the possibility to pay via the website by Direct Debit, however this option is ONLY available for Full Memberships and has to be initiated in the month of September. Note this does not include the "Discount" of £20. The Direct Debit will be £10 a month for 10 months.

 

Ground Entry will be £5 including match programme. Just for clarification - ground entry on 1st XV match days includes any spectator / visitors / partners entering the ground (for example even if watching family members or 2nd or 3rd team match on bottom pitch -  the fee also applies). We ask that you  treat the gate volunteers with respect.  

 

A new "Benefit" is Free Ground entry for Full & Life Members on production of the "relevant membership card*. (Match programmes will be available at an additional nominal cost for those taking advantage of this benefit).

 

*New Cards" will be issued for Full and Life Members and will be issued by our facility manager and membership administrator Mark Weller (bpfcmanager@yahoo.com)

We will aim for these to also be available on the gate at the 1st Home Game (10th September) for those who have paid or not managed to pick up the card prior to this date (in order to benefit from the free entry if desired). If for some reason the card is not available, a list of Members who have paid this seasons membership by the Friday 9th September will be available. Paying your membership on the day will still result in an upfront £5 entry fee which can be reimbursed IF receipt of membership is subsequently shown from that day.
