Coveted maximum FSA rating for Birkenhead Park FC venue

Birkenhead Park FC has just received a 5/5 rating for hygiene from the Food Standards Agency.

The marque from a government agency comes as the rugby club expands its operations to include a new Pursglove Suite and has increased bookings for events by 100% in the past year

For decades, Birkenhead Park has held memorable events at its home on Park Road South, as well as rugby matches since the late Victorian era.

General Manager, Mark Parry said:” It was great to achieve our 5-star rating. It has been a culmination of hard work on behalf of the whole food and beverage team at the Club.

The key now is for us to maintain what we do and make sure we keep up the hard work, which will in turn allow us to grow the food and beverage operation through our clubhouse facility and function rooms, elevating Birkenhead Park Rugby Club as a sporting venue as well as a hub within the local community.”

The two venues within the ground can stage small and bigger events, the new Pursglove Suite overlooking the Park can cater for up to 60 people while the larger venue downstairs has a 180-person capacity with options for exterior hire during the warmer months.
